Puri: Even though there was an attempt to inject glamour into the Mission Shakti conclave by bringing Hindi film and TV actors, one of the celebrities faced an embarrassing moment when he addressed the place as Bhubaneswar instead of Puri.
Actor Karanvir Bohra who had come with his wife Teejay Sidhu came to the dais for delivering the welcome speech. He welcomed everybody, but much to the chagrin of the audience he made it Bhubaneswar instead of Puri, and continued to repeat it.
It is difficult to understand that nobody had told him about the difference between Puri and Bhubaneswar.
Bohra recently participated in Big Boss. He has also acted in serials like ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kii,’ ‘Qubool Hai’ etc.
Rashmi Desai who grabbed attention by acting in the serial ‘Uttaran’ spoke about women empowerment, and said that today women had to be well versed in everything.
Many Odia TV actors and ‘Rangabati’ fame Jitendra Haripal performed at the event. The Prince Dance Group also exhibited its unique skills in ‘Mahisasura Vadh.’
