Actors take pains to be in shape

They take great pains to look good and fit. Actors of the Indian film fraternity, especially those associated with the Hindi movie industry have worldwide recognition. It is just not that they are adored and revered in India; they get the same kind of treatment in other parts of the world well. To maintain their fitness and keep that skin glowing most of the film stars follow a strict diet. Here’s a look at what some of them consume for breakfast. Actor Sunil Shetty always followed the coinage ‘Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dinner like a Pauper’ during his hey days. But this is something which these stars rarely follow.

Hrtihik Roshan: His daily menu includes four egg whites, two pieces of brown bread, a protein shake and one plate of seasonal fruits. Among the fruits, grapes are a must.

Kareena Kapoor: Whatever she may have, curd is a staple diet on her breakfast menu. She also eats parathas depending on her morning mood. She also takes almonds, plums and Mussoli.

Salman Khan: The man may be 53, but he still has a body to be envious about. Once a week Salman has chapati and vegetable curry, which he terms a ‘luxury’. On other days, fat-less milk, bread and butter and fruits are his staple diet for breakfast.

Malaika Arora: The latest beau of Arjun Kapoor, the 45-year dandy damsel prefers South Indian items for her breakfast. Among her favourites are Idli, Poha or Upma. A glass of fruit juice is a must and also a substantial amount of seasonal fruits. Malaika, however, always prefers a heavy dinner, so the quantity of breakfast is not very big. She still has a figure which makes many envious.

Tiger Shroff: Well this man possesses the body and looks of an Adonis.  And he really works very hard to maintain that. Eight egg whites and a substantial amount of oatmeal are his daily breakfast menu.

Priyanka Chopra: The 36-year-old Piggy Chops (her nickname) is very conscious about her figure and always prefers to eat light in the morning. However, a glass of seasonal fruit juice is a must.

John Abraham: The muscular hunk to keep his body in shape consumes six egg whites to start with. This is followed by four pieces of protein bread and butter, various types of almonds and a glass of orange, guava or grapefruit juice. John is someone who regularly eats through the day. He believes in losing excess intake of calories at the gym where he works out at an average for of four hours.

Deepika Padukone: Her father Prakash was a World Champion in badminton. Hence a strict diet suited to sportspersons, used to be followed at her Bangalore residence. Deepika has grown up accustomed to that only. Egg whites and fruits are the main ingredients of her breakfast. She takes pains to maintain her figure and hence is very conscious about what she takes.

Ranbir Kapoor: Being a mama’s boy, Ranbir’s diet is strictly monitored by Neetu Kapoor. He usually consumes three pieces of egg whites, a glass of protein shake, brown bread without butter and a plate of almonds. However, at times, he may opt for some rich stuff like Aloo Paratha but that is once in a blue moon.

Madhuri Dixit: The heartthrob of many still, the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl believes in having a heavy breakfast. And why not? An hour-long dance routine can burn away all the calories. Some days she has Roti, vegetables and an omelette while on other days she goes bread, butter and eggs.

Ileana D’Cruz: The actor who shot to national recognition with Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’ prefers to have a bowl of either cornflakes or oatmeal as breakfast. She also consumes fruits on a daily basis.
