Bhubaneswar: The Odia cine industry witnessed yet another ‘#Me too’ moment when an actress levelled harassment charges against a film director during the audio release of a movie at a hotel here Wednesday night.
According to sources, film actress Elsa Ghosh accused Dilip Panda, the director of the movie ‘Tu Mo Suna Chadhei’, of mentally harassing her as he had some alleged relationship with the girl who played the second lead. The livid actress, Elsa, opened a barrage of accusations against Panda in the middle of the programme and in the presence of media persons, creating a chaotic scene at the hotel. A video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Elsa alleged that Panda had intentionally deleted some of her scenes from the movie in order to give scope to the other girl. She further alleged that Panda also misbehaved with her mother during the audio release programme.
Panda, however, denied the allegations terming it as ‘false and fabricated’.
In the video, Elsa was also seen threatening the director to disclose what he has done to her during the shooting though she is yet to lodge a police complaint in this regard.
Capital police station IIC Manas Chandra Garnayak said, “No complaint was filed with us. We came to know about the incident from the social media posts only. We will look into the matter if she comes forth to file a complaint.”
Elsa has acted in several movies in various languages like, Chhattisgarhi, Odia, Bengali and Telugu. The actress last acted in Odia movie ‘Feel My Dil’.
