Bhubaneswar: At a time when the state Crime Branch is yet to solve the mysterious death case of Aditya Dash, the deceased social activist’s mother threatened to end her life if justice is not delivered soon.
Padmalaya Dash, the deceased’s mother, approached the Crime Branch Friday, pleading for early justice.
She said she will end her life if justice is not delivered immediately. She claimed her son had been against suicide and was advising people on how to live a peaceful life. “So I am sure he cannot take the extreme step like suicide. He had been murdered in a planned way,” she added.
Meanwhile, over three months have passed since the death of the social activist and motivational speaker.
Notably, ‘People for Seva’, the NGO, the deceased was associated with, had submitted a memorandum to the Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal October 22, seeking a CBI investigation. The members of the NGO had then alleged the pace of the investigation into the death case of ‘Manab Premi’ is not up to the mark.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Crime Branch has already conducted polygraph tests on Aditya’s wife Bidyashree Dash and three members of the NGO.
Aditya’s mutilated body was found on the railway tracks near Lingaraj Temple Road PH here, July 7. The case was initially being probed by the Bhubaneswar GRP. Later, the Director General of Odisha Police ordered the Crime Branch to take over the investigation of the case July 30.
