Baripada: The district administration reviewed the progress of the various projects and programmes undertaken by four Integrated Tribal development Agencies (ITDAs) in Mayurbhanj district Thursday.
Collector Vineet Bhardwaj presided over a plan management-level meeting of ITDAs of Baripada, Kaptipada, Rairangpur and Karanjia at the DRDA Hall.
The officials of the ITDAs discussed the implementation of a number of programmes related to education, agriculture, irrigation, road connectivity, drinking water, infrastructure development and income-generating activities for socio-economic development of SC and ST people in the ITDA areas.
The meeting also focused on the annual plan outlay for 2018-19. The project administrators of the four ITDAs put forth discussion on the progress of various projects and status of the funds unitisation under the state plan and non-state plan.
The officials of Lodha Development Agency (Morada) and Khadia Mankidia Development Agency (Tasipur) detailed about the micro-level programmes meant for social-economic development of the primitive tribes.
The officials laid stress on making provision of SC/ST hostels, housing, drinking water, drainage, roads and bridges in remote and inaccessible areas of the district.
