Administration to expedite development projects in ‘Swabhimaan Anchal’

Malkangiri: Malkangiri district administration is ready with a roadmap to expedite development projects in the ‘Swabhimaan Anchal’. Collector Manish Agarwal has instructed all the departmental officers, through a letter dated September 27, 2017 to conduct public meetings in every panchayat of the district and enquire about the problems the people are facing.

After the inauguration of Gurupriya bridge by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the ‘Swabhimaan Anchal’ area was thrown open to the outside world.

The locals thought that their wait for development was over but a year has passed since the inauguration of the bridge and no development project has kicked off, locals alleged.

Locals had been complaining regarding various problems but every time they had to face disappointment due to fake assurances by the administration.

As per the instruction of the District Collector, officials of every department will conduct special camps and facilitate people with services like health, pension for the old aged and widows, electricity, banking, Aadhaar card and MGNREGA registration, PDS and solar light.

The Collector has further instructed officials to provide certificates and all other government facilities to students without any delay.

As per sources, officials of all departments have been directed to reach and conduct meetings at Ralegada panchayat, October 3, Paparmetal panchayat, October 4, Gajulamaudi panchayat, October 11, Panasput panchayat, October 15, Andrapalli panchayat, October 16, Sadar panchayat, October 17, Jodamba panchayat, October 18, Badapada sadar panchayat, October 21 and Dhulipata sadar panchayat, October 23.
