Bhubaneswar: Admission process in various private and government medical colleges across the state began Thursday.
According to OJEE officials, the process would continue till July 10 and classes are scheduled to commence August 1.
“On the first day, students enrolled for 212 seats at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack,” OJEE committee chairman Sudeep Kumar Chand said.
“A total of 1,078 students have been included in the first merit list and as many as 1,133 seats have been allotted for admission in this phase,” he added.
The admission would begin at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur July 6 while at VIMSAR, Burla and SCB dental college, Cuttack it would commence July 7.
In SLN Medical College, Koraput it would begin July 8 and in Pandit Raghunath Murmu College, Baripada the process would start July 8.
Government medical colleges in Bolangir and Balasore would start their admission process July 9, whereas Hi-Tech Medical College and Dental College, Bhubaneswar would begin the process July 10.
The students are required to submit their certificates, marksheets and other important documents. The second phase of the admission is scheduled to begin July 24 and the list would include unoccupied seats from the first phase.
