Ever thought why do we cry? Why and from where do tears come to our eyes? Humans do not cry only during sorrow and troubles, but also during immense happiness.
Humans also cry because of a special smell or the feeling of strong wind on the face. At the same time, tears are common while cutting onions. Let us today know why and how exactly do tears come from our eyes?
Scientists have mainly divided the tears into three categories. The first category is basal tear, the emotional tear, and the reflex tear.
Basal Tears: Basal tear keep the eyes healthy from being dry. Emotional tears occur due to a reaction to a particular smell, such as a tear on a strong smell like onion cutting or phenyl. Reflex tear is made in the lacrimal gland and is made up mostly of water. The body makes these tears as a reflex to a stimulus.
Emotional Tears: In nearly all human cultures, crying is associated with tears trickling down the cheeks and accompanied by characteristic sobbing sounds. Emotional triggers are most often sadness and grief, but crying can also be triggered by anger, happiness, fear, laughter or humor, frustration, remorse, or other strong, intense emotions. Crying is often associated with babies and children.
Why does a person cry?
Humans cry is a way of non-verbal communication. Through tears, humans tell us that we need help. Let the psychologists constantly insist that it is good to cry in the boil of emotions. This improves our mental health, not only the eyes.
The best examples of non-verbal communication are newborns. When children do not know the language, they communicate non-verbally through crying and state their needs.
