Bhubaneswar: The inaugural event of Men’s Hockey World Cup passing off in a grand way with celebrities Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, AR Rehman and Madhuri Dixit creating the befitting dazzle; the aspirations for the closing ceremony of Men’s Hockey World Cup are on the rise.
Speculation is rampant about Big B (Amitabh Bachchan), master blaster (Sachin Tendulkar) and the perfectionist, Amir Khan attending the closing ceremony of the marquee sporting event at the kalinga Stadium December 16.
They apart, Shahid Kapoor, Saurav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid are also expected to attend the event and make even grandeur.
Though the sports department is yet to officially confirm the celebrity attendees at closing ceremony, sources say that Big B, Master Blaster, ‘Dangal’ star Amir Khan, Shahid Kapoor, the wall of Indian Cricket and the Bengal tiger, Dada; have been contacted on behalf of the State Government to grace the occassion.
While confirmations are yet to be received from the contacted celebrities, Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar are expected to take the stage in the evening.
Given the fact that a special episode was organised on Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ programme and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik invited the Bollywood Superstar to attend the mega event, the possibility of Big B attending the closing ceremony is very high.
Seeing Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s eagerness to come to Bhubaneswar and showering their love and affection over Odisha, celebrities are enthusiastic to come to Bhubaneswar, it is believed.
