A bizarre case has surfaced in Japan. Whoever heard about it was shocked. Police have arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of stealing bicycle seats.
Actually, in the Ota Ward area of Tokyo, people complained that bicycle seats were being stolen continuously for the last few days. The police examined the CCTV footage and found that an elderly took away the bicycle seat and put it in his bicycle basket and quietly escapes from there.
Police found the thief and raided his house. During the raid, police personnel were surprised to see that a man named Akio Hatori had stored 159 stolen bicycle seats at his house. The police recovered all the seats and arrested the man.
When the police asked Akio about the reason for his theft, he said that his own bike saddle was stolen in the summer of 2018 and was so disappointed that he wanted other people to feel his pain. So instead of reporting the theft or at least trying to identify the thief, he exacted revenge on them. Thus Hatori turned into a serial bicycle seat thief himself.
Akio is currently in police custody. He will be produced in court soon.
