Mumbai: Ever since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his girlfriend-actress Rhea Chakraborty has been in the news, though not for the right reasons always. Initially Rhea Chakraborty was blamed for Sushant’s alleged suicide and viciously trolled on social media. Then she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and spent a month in prison before being released on bail. It has indeed been a traumatic time for Rhea.
Sushant’s first death anniversary will be June 14, 2021. No doubt his fans will remember him then and one can be sure that some of them will against troll Rhea who is trying to return to normal life.
Since her release from the Byculla prison in Mumbai, Rhea stayed away from the social media. She made a brief appearance in March sharing a picture with her mom.
Rhea, just before the first death anniversary of Sushant has once more taken to her social media handle to share a cryptic note on suffering. “From great suffering, comes great strength! You’ll just have to trust me on this one.Hang in there, Love Rhea,” the post reads.
After the demise of the actor, Sushant’s father KK Singh had filed a case of abetment to suicide against Rhea. She was also accused of money laundering and other charges. The actress was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and spent a month in the Byculla jail in Mumbai.
Rhea was arrested in September 2020. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty was also arrested by the NCB.
On the professional front, Rhea will be seen next in Rumi Jafry’s Chehre with Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. The film was slated to release in April. However, due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic the release has been delayed.
