Airport boundary wall collapses in heavy downpour

Bhubaneswar: The boundary wall of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) near Kargil slum collapsed Saturday morning following heavy downpour that has been battering many parts of the state including its capital city.

The 100-foot high boundary wall failed to withstand the heavy rain that was lashing the state for the past 24 hours.

While the overflowing drain water is running on various roads, the people of Jayadev Vihar, Niladree Vihar, Bomikhal and the areas near Kalinga stadium have left marooned.
