Bhubaneswar: Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Akhil Kumar Mishra has assumed charge as Additional Director General (ADG) of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) and the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Bhubaneswar under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, official sources said, Monday.
The 1999 batch officer will also serve as the Additional Press Registrar General of Odisha. Apart from this, Mishra will hold the additional charge of Jharkhand region. A dynamic and efficient officer, Mishra has earlier served in several key positions in All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan, Central Board of Film Certification, PIB and CBC under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is worth mentioning that Mishra is also an eminent poet and many of his poetic works have received accolades from across the country
