Bhubaneswar: As a part of the ongoing ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ flagship programme of state government, Chief Minister Wednesday sanctioned Rs 28.95 crore for the six blocks of six districts.
The Blocks are Patrapur in Ganjam district, Banta in Bhadrak district, Barang in Cuttack district, Thuamul-Rampur in Kalahandi district, Gosani in Gajapati district and Birmaharajpur in Sonepur district.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 5.75 crore for 123 projects to be undertaken in 23 GPs of Patrapur Block while Rs 6.15 crore for 178 projects in 25 GPs of Banta Block, Rs 4.35 crore for 238 projects in 16 GPs of Barang Block, Rs 4.40 crore for 252 projects in 24 GPs of Thuamul-Rampur Block, Rs 4.75 crore for 169 projects in 20 GPs of Gosani Block and Rs 3.55 crore for executing 117 rural projects in 14 GPS of Birmaharajpur Block.
The ambitious weekly programme through video conferencing was attended by the Council of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner and senior officers of various departments at the State Secretariat here while the concerned District Collectors, elected PRI members and the village people of the concerned blocks were also present in their respective places.
