Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday sanctioned Rs 37 crore for executing 1,473 projects in 166 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of nine blocks in eight districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme.
According to sources, about 1 lakh people from Bhatli block in Bargarh district, Padmapur in Rayagada, Tentulikhunti in Nabarangpur, Salipur in Cuttack, Talcher in Angul, Narla in Kalahandi, K Nuagaon in Kandhamal, Saraskana & Jamada in Mayurbhanj participated in the programme through videoconferencing.
The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 4.60 crore for implementation of 221 projects in 26 GPs of Narla block while Rs 8.765 crore was approved for 403 projects in 35 GPs of Salipur block, Rs 4.20 crore for 164 projects in 17 GPs of Saraskana block, Rs 3.54 crore for 144 projects in 15 GPs of Tentulikhunti block and Rs 5.25 crore for 136 projects in 21 GPs of Talcher block.
Similarly, the CM allocated Rs 3.01 crore for execution of 84 projects in 14 panchayats of K Nuagaon block, Rs 2.24 crore for 81projects in 10 panchayats of Jamada block, Rs 2.58 crore for 121 projects in 15 GPs of Bhatli block and Rs 2.44 crore for 119 projects in 13 GPs of Padmapur block.
With this today’s sanction, the Chief Minister has, so far, sanctioned Rs 919 crore to 4,054 panchayats of 184 blocks for development of 37,331 infrastructure projects.
