Koraput/Narayanpatna: The state government has sanctioned Rs 2.36 crore to execute 127 projects in eight panchayats of Narayanpatna block in Koraput district.
This has been announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ programme held at the Narayanpatna High School playground Saturday through a video conferencing programme from the state secretariat. The names of the projects were also declared at the programme.
The projects included Mission Shakti Centre in all panchayats, forming of youth organisations and setting up of donation boxes at village shrines.
Patnaik, on the occasion, interacted with the local people’s representatives and the villagers through video conferencing. He asked the officials to expedite the programmes as soon as possible.
Among others, Koraput MP Jhinna Hikaka, state planning board member Iswar Panigrahi, BDO Jadumani Nayak, ZP member Narayan Parida and BJD members were present on the occasion.
While various departments put up an exhibition at the programme, local artistes performed Dhemsa and other tribal dances to entertain the people.
