Barang: A 35-year-old man engaged as a driver with 108 ambulance facility died after falling off a tree on the premises of the state-run primary health centre at Mendhasala under Chandaka police limits here, Sunday.
According to a senior Chandaka police official, Maheswar Barik, a resident of Kudiari, had climbed a tree on the healthcare facility premises in the afternoon when he slipped off and sustained multiple injuries. In no time, the health centre staffers arranged for his treatment at the facility itself, though unsuccessfully.
On being informed, Chandaka police officials reached the spot and arranged for Barik’s autopsy as well as registered a case (20/19)
of unnatural death.
