Bhubaneswar: Condolence messages continue to pour in even as it has been four days to the sad demise of young actor Sushant Singh Rajput. While the Chhichhore actor’s Odisha connection was revealed Sunday by Amrit Kashyap and Satya Ranjan, two promising actors from Odisha, one more state link with the deceased actor came to light.
Popular play back singer Ananya Sritam Nanda, who lent her voice for a song (Padhoge Likhoge) in M S Dhoni: The Untold Story, one of Sushant’s most successful movies, regretted Thursday for not being able to meet the actor before his death. The opportunity came her way after she bagged the Indian Idol Junior title.
Speaking to Orissa POST Ananya said “ Though I wanted to meet Sushant since he was the lead actor of the movie, it didn’t happen. I will always regret for not being able to talk to him despite being part of the same movie.”
Taking about her experience during the recording of Padhoge Likhoge, she recalled, “ Manoj [Muntashir] sir, who was associated with Indian Idol, asked me to come to Mumbai to record a song. There I was introduced to the music director of the film Amaal Malik. They liked the recording and decided to use it in the movie.”
Ananya had sung for many Oriya films such as ‘Agastya’ ‘Baby’ ‘Tu Mo Love Story’ ‘Abhaya’ ‘Kabula Barabula’ etc. She is studying at Bhavan’s college in Mumbai and returned to Bhubaneswar last week and presently in home quarantine.
