Animal loss and tool loss will now be paid by the Yogi government

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh would grant financial assistance of up to Rs 30,000 to animal owners who have suffered losses as a result of natural disasters such as floods.

In the event that craftsmen lose their instruments, the state government will compensate them with Rs 4,100.

According to a government spokesman, if any animal perishes as a result of a calamity, the government will provide compensation up to Rs. 30,000 per animal.

On the death of small milch animals (goats, sheep, or pigs), the animal owner would receive Rs 3,000, Rs 25,000 for non-milk animals (camel, horse, bull), and Rs 16,000 for cows and buffaloes.

Poultry is likewise covered by this provision. Farmers of poultry would receive Rs 50 per bird in support.

These provisions apply not only to floods, but also to natural disasters including cloudbursts, fire, drought, cyclones, heavy rain, lightning  strike, etc.
