Another 1,621 COVID-19 patients recover in Odisha, total recoveries at 46,935

Bhubaneswar: Odisha health department Wednesday said that 1,621 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered and are being discharged.

Out of the 1,621 persons, 324 are from Ganjam, 265 from Khurdha, 127 from Gajapati, 110 from Cuttack, 85 from Puri, 69 from Koraput, 68 from Nuapada, 66 from Balasore, 62 from Nayagarh, 54 from Bargarh, 43 from Kalahandi, 41 from Sundargarh, 35 from Kandhamal, 33 from Malkangiri, 32 from Jajpur, 25 from Dhenkanal, 23 from Kendrapara, 22 from Bhadrak, 22 from Bolangir,21 from Mayurbhanj, 20 from Jharsuguda, 18 from Rayagada, 17 from Keonjhar, 14 from Sambalpur, 11 from Boudh, eight from Nabarangpur, three from Jagatsinghpur, two from Sonepur and one from Angul.

With this, total recoveries in the state now stand at 46,935.

Meanwhile, at least 2,239 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha, pushing the tally in the state to 64,533. The death toll in the coastal state climbed to 362 with nine people succumbing to the infection.
