Bhubaneswar: Odisha health department Tuesday said that 648 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered and are being discharged.
Out of the 648 persons, 76 are from Khordha, 51 from Angul,48 from Kalahandi,40 from Cuttack,35 from Sundargarh, 34 from Bolangir, 34 from Puri,32 from Jagatsinghpur, 31 from Bargarh, 29 from Balasore, 25 from Keonjhar, 24 from Kendrapara, 24 from Mayurbhanj, 23 from Dhenkanal, 20 from Nuapada, 20 from Sambalpur, 18 from Rayagada, 13 from Nabarangpur, 12 from Boudh, 10 from Malkangiri, nine from Jharsuguda, eight from Ganjam, six from Bhadrak, four from Jajpur, four from Kandhamal, three from Deogarh, three from Gajapati, three from Sonepur, one from Koraput, one from Nayagarh and seven from State Pool.
With this, total recoveries in the state now stand at 3,07,374.
Meanwhile, Odisha’s COVID-19 caseload touched 3,15,271 with the detection of 642 new cases, while 14 more fatalities pushed its coronavirus death toll to 1,671. As many as 374 new cases were reported from quarantine centres, while 268 people tested positive for the infection during contact tracing.
The state Monday tested 37,875 samples for COVID-19, taking the total number of tests conducted so far to 56.42 lakh.
