Bhubaneswar: The number of recoveries continued to surpass the cases of new infections in Odisha as 913 persons have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department said in a tweet Monday evening. All the recovered patients have been discharged from their treatment centres it added. With the discharge of the 913 persons, the number of recoveries in Odisha went up to 3,06,726.
Earlier in the day Odisha reported 668 new cases of COVID-19 infections. So the number of recoveries far exceeded the number of new patients.
Sundargarh (118) and Mayurbhanj (111) districts reported the maximum number of recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Other districts where COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged are Cuttack (66), Angul (64), Khurda (62), Nuapada (53), Sambalpur (43), Balasore (37), Jharsuguda (36), Bargarh and Kendrapara (35 each), Jagatsinghpur (32), Keonjhar (29), Puri (26), Jajpur (22), Bolangir (21), Dhenkanal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur (15 each), Ganjam (14), Nayagarh (10), Malkangiri, Bhadrak and Koraput (eight each), Kandhamal (six), Sonepur (five), Deogarh (three), Gajapati and Rayagada (two each) and Boudh (one).
Eleven persons in the State Pool undergoing treatment at various COVID-19 facilities were also discharged after they tested negative.
