Muniguda: Anti-Maoist posters were spotted at Muniguda bus stand and a primary school in Rayagada district Sunday.
According to reports, the posters were put up in protest against an audio tape released by the outlawed CPI (Maoist) organisation Saturday.
The posters were put up by the district committee of ‘Hinsa Mukta Odisha’, ‘Naxal Mukta Odisha’ and ‘Shaktisali O Bikasita Odisha’.
The posters condemned and opposed the torture and violent activities of the ultras.
Through the posters, the red rebels have been urged to put down their guns and join hands with the government if they really wish for the development of tribal people.
While the secretary of Bansadhara Ghumusara Nagabali Divisional Committee of the banned outfit claims of being worried about the development of tribal people, he himself never visited the region, the posters pointed out.
Similarly, anti-Maoist posters slamming Red-rebels’ anti-development stand and oppression of innocent tribals in the name of revolt had surfaced at several places in Bissam Cuttack area of Rayagada district September 5.
The posters put up on the wall of Bissam Cuttack grama panchayat office warned the Maoists against misguiding tribal people to join their so-called revolt, by dubbing it as ‘fake’ and ‘falsified’.
The posters bearing messages written in green and black ink pledged for Naxal-free and developed Rayagada district and dubbed Maoists as detrimental in achieving these goals.
