Anushka meme cautions citizens against fake calls

Bhubaneswar: Memes of actress Anushka Sharma’s character Mamta from her upcoming movie Sui Dhaaga are blowing the charts in every platform of social media. From Monalisa to Mario game, her memes are as hilarious as they are creative. Some Twitter users have also crafted memes to take a dig at the garbage-throwing incident that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were involved in recently.

The trailer of the movie Sui Dhaaga – Made in India starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma was released in August. Varun plays a tailor called Mauji in the movie and Anushka plays Mamta, an embroiderer. The trailer has inspired geeks to showcase their creativity in making hilarious memes.

Odisha police has decided to use this trend to its own benefit. The trending image of the movie was used to create a meme which cautions people about fake calls. In the pictorial representation, Odisha police advises the public never to share the One Time Password (OTP) with anyone. In the tweet, Odisha police states that no matter how tempting it is, never let greed take over your conscience. The tweet urges citizens to act smart in such cases.

Earlier, the Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan starrer movie which releases September 28 created a huge buzz as they announced the title of the movie in a unique way. The producers had revealed the title and logo of the movie on the occasion of National Handloom Day. The logo of Sui Dhaaga – Made In India paid tribute to artisans of the country. It portrayed diversified handiwork from various corners of the country including handmade works of artisans of Pipli, Odisha. As many as 15 types of needlework were showcased by the producers.

They released a new video recently where they shared the story of Sharda Mohapatra. He specializes in the Pipli work which was invented in Odisha. The famous appliqué work comes from Pipli village, which was established by the King of Odisha for accommodating craftsmen who made appliqué umbrellas and canopies for the Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
