Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting applications for the posts of commissioned officers in flying and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches.

According to the official notification, the registration for online application for the advertised posts will begin December 1 (11am) and end December 30 (11am) of this year.

Educational qualification:

As a graduate/ Engineer, one can enter the flying branch through the Air Force Academy.

For the ground duty technical branch, depending upon your stream of Engineering, you could join one of the sub-branches of the technical branch. Candidates can check the educational qualifications required for the sub-branches on the official website.

For ground duty non-technical branch, you need to be a graduate. For details information regarding qualification regarding various sub-branches, candidates are advised to visit the official website here.

Age:

(a) Flying branch: 20 to 24 years as of January 1, 2025 i.e. born between January 2, 2001 to January 1, 2005.

(b) Ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches: 20 to 26 years as of January 1, 2025 i.e. born between January 2, 1999 to Janunary 1, 2005.

Pay scale:

For flying officers, the pay as per defence matrix is Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
