Bhubaneswar: ‘Blackmailer’ Archana Nag is all set to walk out of Jharpada Jail, with the Orissa High Court Monday granting her conditional bail in connection with a case registered by the ED. In order to get bail, Justice Gourishankar Satapathy said, Nag will have to provide two sureties of Rs 2 lakh each. “She (Nag) will have to cooperate with the investigating agency.
Besides, she will not provoke the witnesses and will have to share her contact details like mobile number and residence address with the investigating agency,” Justice Satapathy said, adding that Nag will have to surrender her passport to the court. Nag’s lawyer Jaydeep Pal said his client will walk out of jail after the completion of formalities, most likely Wednesday. The HC had April 11 this year granted bail to Nag in connection with a case registered with the Nayapalli police for allegedly blackmailing Odia film producer Akshaya Parija.
Earlier, August 2, the court had granted bail to Nag in connection with a case registered with the Khandagiri police for allegedly employing her associate Shradhanjali Behera in her bid to honey-trap bigwigs.
