Buenos Aires: Argentina’s national team ended the year 2018 and Lionel Scaloni’s term as interim coach with a 2-0 win over Mexico, playing in the Malvinas Argentinas stadium here.
The first goal was scored Tuesday by Mauro Icardi shortly before the second minute and the next was scored by Paulo Dybala, who entered just before the 86th minute, reports Efe news.
Icardi’s goal was after an assist from Erik Lamela while Dybala’s followed a pass from Giovanni Simeone.
It was the first goals of both Icardi and Dybala with the Argentine national team.
The match, after the surprising start with Icardi’s goal, lost intensity and became monotonous, with no outstanding moves until Dybala’s entry.
Both coaches took advantage of the friendly to make a lot of changes and test a number of players.
