Mumbai: In the auction for Indian Premier League (IPL) Thursday, Arjun Tendulkar, son of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, was bought by Mumbai Indians for his base price of Rs 20 lakh.
Since Arjun’s selection, the debate on nepotism has once again started. On social media, people are criticizing Arjun’s selection as they believe that the only reason why the left-arm pacer was selected was because of his father Schin.
Now Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar has given a befitting reply to these criticisms. Sara posted a story on her Instagram in support of Arjun, she wrote, “No one can take this achievement away from you, it is yours.”
Mumbai Indians director of cricket Zaheer Khan says that Arjun is a very hard working boy and he has to prove himself. Arjun had thanked the coaches, support staff and team owners after joining the team post IPL auction.
"I would like to thank the coaches, owners and the support staff for showing faith in me." 🙌💙

Before this, Arjun had played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on behalf of Mumbai’s senior team.
Earlier, there were reports about Sara’s Hindi cinema debut with Shahid Kapoor. Her father, however, denied all the stories and said that Sara is currently concentrating on her education, and she has no intention of entering the entertainment business anytime soon.
