Bhubaneswar: Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo will attend the Niti Aayog meeting scheduled to be held in Mumbai Friday in place of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
This is the second meeting of the high powered committee of Chief Ministers organised by Niti Aayog. The meeting will discuss ways to transform Indian agricultural sector.
While a source said that minister Sahoo will put forward various proposals regarding income of farmers, development of their skills and agricultural productivity, the reason behind Naveen’s absence in the meeting was not clear.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will chair the meeting that will discuss seven agendas for bringing overall development in the agriculture sector, the source added.
