Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to Instagram and subtly roasted all rounder Hardik Pandya and opener KL Rahul over the Koffee With Karan controversy. Ashwin in his latest post uploaded a picture of himself sipping a cup of coffee with teammates Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav.
Taking a dig at the two star players, Ashwin captioned his photo: “A cup of coffee always tells you a story that you have never heard before!!” While some fans have taken it lightly and laughed it off, many were angry with Ashwin for taking a dig at Hardik and Rahul.
However, the two star players are yet to comment on the issue. Ashwin also tagged the picture to Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav who are present with him while they all enjoy coffee.
2019 started with controversy for Hardik and KL Rahul as they faced the heat for their comments on women on popular chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ hosted by filmmaker and producer Karan Johar.
Subsequently, the cricketers were suspended, not just for their comments but also for the fact that they had not taken prior permission from BCCI. Fortunately for the two, the suspension did not last long and they were back in the blue.
