Bhadrak: In a bid to loot an ATM at Baligaan in Chandabali of Bhadrak district was foiled by locals Sunday night.
According to reports, locals spotted two miscreants ransacking the ATM and were about to decamp with the cash. After seeing the local residents, the miscreants fled from the spot.
During the investigation, the police found that a portion of the ATM was broken.
Police have started examining the CCTV footage installed near the crime scene to know more details about the criminals.
Similarly, an attempt to loot cash from a State Bank of India ATM near Balasore railway station was averted by police by arresting two persons August 6.
The accused were identified as Sudev Ray (25) and Mithun Singh (20) from West Bengal.
