Titanic which was released in 1997 also created a lot of noise in that period. The film featured Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in lead roles. Even today, Titanic it is still hailed as one of the most beautiful and successful movies ever made.

Even at the box office, Titanic achieved record earnings. It remained unchallenged for years before another Cameron movie ‘Avatar’ earned more. Titanic was the world’s second highest grossing film. Now ‘Avengers Endgame’ has pushed Titatnic to the third place. ‘Avengers Endgame’ current earnings stand at $2.27 billion while the Titanic had a life time collection of $2.10 billion.

Avatar currently sits on the top of the earnings chart with a figure of $2.78 billion. However, in the days to come, ‘Avengers Endgame’ can easily gross more than Avatar.
