Malkangiri: A woman and her newborn baby died at Putagaon under Mathili block in Malkangiri district allegedly due to the bad road condition Monday.
According to reports, the family members called up an ambulance when the woman went into labour pain.
However, it took more time than usual for the ambulance to reach the village due to the bad condition of the road.
Later, the woman was rushed to the Mathili community health centre.
However, both the woman and baby boy died soon after the delivery.
