Baitarani Basin Chief Engineer under Vigilance lens

Keonjhar: Vigilance sleuths Tuesday conducted raids and unearthed property worth crores in the possession of Baitarani Basin Chief Engineer Kailash Chandra Sahu.

During the simultaneous house searches in 10 places, the Vigilance detected one three-storeyed building, three flats and 28 plots in possession of Sahu. He has a cash deposit of Rs42,80,058 and owns one four-wheeler and three two-wheelers.

During the raids, the Vigilance Department officials found a three-storied residential building measuring an area around 8,821 sq ft under Mrutyunjaypur mouza in Jajpur district in Sahu’s name. He has a flat in Jagannath Mansion Apartment at Bhoi Nagar in Bhubaneswar, another in Dharma Heaven apartment at Mangalaghat in Puri district, a flat and a shop in Jagabandhu Bhawan at Dolipur in Jajpur district. He owns 28 valuable plots including one in Cuttack, four in Khurda and 23 in Jajpur.

Official sources said the measurement and valuation and assessment of the building, flats and plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
