Bangalore: The star-studded 19th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week (BFW) which saw the presence of several city elites got kicked off with pomp and show at a hotel here Sunday.
Odisha based couturier Kumar Guru Mishra presented a spectacular couture show with his collection ‘LUSTRE’.
The collection for BFW was inspired from the elements of Mother Nature and presented in a unique way to the audience. The collection was specifically crafted keeping in mind the changing tastes of people.
Interacting with Orissa POST, Mishra said, “I am overwhelmed with the response that I am receiving from the Bangaloreans. This really boosts up my confidence and will definitely help me go a long way in my journey as a fashion designer.” He added recently he has started experimenting with different patterns as people are nowadays looking for rustic designs. “This collection featured fabrics adorned with pearls in a different way and I am thankful to Lord Jagannath for my success,” Mishra said.
Actress Archita Sahu, who walked the ramp for Mishra, was the showstopper at the event. The actress was a spectacle in a lehenga embellished with pearls and Swarovski crystals.
“Kumar has never failed to amaze me. I was held spellbound by his recent collection Chitraa Assemblage at his brand’s launch and now I am again mesmerised by this collection LUSTRE,” Archita Sahu said.
