BDA, CREDAI join hands for plantation drive

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to create awareness among denizens and replenish the lost green cover post Fani, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) along with Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Tuesday, initiated a plantation drive here.

This initiative by the youth wing of CREDAI, Bhubaneswar, saw about 200 saplings planted in and around Biju Patnaik Park.

The move was taken observing the tremendous green cover lost in the capital city during Fani in May this year.

Speaking on the occasion, CREDAI president Kantilal Patel said, “CREDAI is a socially responsible association. It’s our duty to take care of our own city. The youth wing of CREDAI Bhubaneswar chapter has undertaken such a wonderful initiative. This is our small endeavor to showcase our love towards nature. We will continue this kind of activities in future for the betterment of the society.”

The initiative was launched in presence of guests and dignitaries like Bhubaneswar-North MLA Susant Rout, Bhubaneswar- Central MLA Ananta Narayan Jena and Umesh Pattnaik, general secretary of CREDAI Bhubaneswar.
