Be careful! Broken glasses may bring bad luck in your marriage….

In Hindu culture it is believed that mirror has a power to seize one’s soul. When gods or devils take another person’s form, mirror shows original identity or keeps original soul out.

This led to the superstition that mirror shouldn’t be broken. By any chance it gets broken then it shouldn’t be kept in the house. Moreover, mirror which is not showing clear image should be replaced and we shouldn’t see our face in broken mirror.

This curse could be avoided if one gathers the all pieces of the mirror and buries them in the moonlight or in water.

Psychologically the moon signifies the ability of the emotions to be mirrored into our actions and motives.

However, science says that Mirrors are made with sand. mirror was made of certain chemical reactions and filtration of Sand. So many centuries back the process is very critical and involved a great work in making a mirror. So mirror is very precious those days, thus superstitions came to handle mirror with great care.

Similarly, tiny pieces of broken mirror, if stamped by mistake can cause heavy pain and sometimes leads to septic wounds. That is main reason to throw out broken mirror from home.
