BHUBANESWAR: The capital city of Bhubaneswar is currently buzzing with a multitude of sporting and entertaining events. Every new day seems to be slated for the beginning of something exciting. Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd (BSCL) has initiated a campaign called #jumpforbhubaneswarchallenge in the same vein. In this campaign, BSCL is asking people to choose one of the many serene spaces around the city with an ‘I Love Bhubaneswar’ installation. This is to be followed by a quick jump which is to be clicked and posted in social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and twitter among others. This is to be done with the tag line #jumpforbhubaneswarchallenge. At the end of it all, one has to tag two of his friends to undertake the same challenge.
The first three challenges were given to Babusan Mohanty, Dutee Chand and Prakruti Mishra by BSCL who all accepted the challenge and shared their photos on social media.
An official of BSCL said, “The Men’s Hockey World Cup is being conducted in full swing and the city is all decked up and beautified with some creative initiatives like neon lights, mural artworks, waste art museum and Ekamra Plaza to name a few. The administrative machinery has undertaken such unique initiatives to augment the experiences of the many visitors who have come to the capital in droves to witness the mega sporting event.”
After sharing their clicks, Babusan, Dutee Chand and Prakruti challenged multiple people for the campaign. The challenge then spread like wildfire to all the corners of the city. “Bhubaneswar is making my adrenaline rush. I am unable to conceal my excitement,” wrote Babusan along with his incredible click in front of the installation.
He challenged actress Archita Sahu, Sivani Sangita, Bhoomika Dash, Joyeeta Roy and Subhasis Sharma to undertake the challenge. Choreographer Harihsar Dash posted a picture of his attempt and wrote, “This jump is for a transforming Bhubaneswar. I had a wonderful time in timing this jump. It was a fun experience.” He challenged Rituraj Mohanty, Avisekh Rath and Biswajit Mahapatra to take up the challenge and time a jump better than him.
Prakruti Mishra who was challenged by BSCL said that the city is transforming in a grand way. Sivani Sangita, who accepted Babusan’s challenge, said, “Bhubaneswar is my second home. I consider the city to be my own. The creative tweaks to the city are making me fall in love with it all over again. After the beautification drive, the city is starting to hone a smart look. On the same lines, Joyeeta Roy said that the city is growing and developing with each passing day.
