Aradi: The proposed science park in Bhadrak district has been finalised to come up near the Shiva temple at Aradi, science and technology department JE Bipin Kumar Sethi who visited the site with a technical team Wednesday said.
Despite incessant rains, the team visited the spot to mark the park’s likely boundary. The team is to draw a design of the proposed park, making best use of the five acres of land here. Construction work on the park will start within a month and half time, indicated the JE.
It may be mentioned here that Chandbali MLA Byomakesh Ray and collector Gyanaranjan Das had submitted a proposal for this park two years ago. Efforts at governmental and administrative level were also on for this project. Recently a bill in this regard was passed in Assembly.
Concerned officials have informed that the money for first phase has already been sanctioned. And a patch of land measuring five cares has also been acquired.
As the park will be a first of its kind in the district, local people are looking up to it. They are hopeful that the park will go a long way in attracting tourists to the district.
