Bhubaneswar: A group of 40 students of World Skill Centre (WSC) in Bhubaneswar — selected from the 2022-23 batch — Saturday left for Singapore to get advanced skill improvement and international exposure through student exchange programme.
Chairperson Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) and CEO WSC Alka Misra wished the students good luck on the occasion.
The ‘Student Exchange’ programme is organized every year as a part of an MoU signed between OSDA, Government of Odisha and the Government of Singapore, said a source.
According to the source, during the visit, the students will take advanced training at the Institute Technical Education (ITE), Singapore and get an opportunity to interact with fellow students from the institute. Moreover, these students will get a chance to explore various places at this global destination.
The World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar has been established by the Skill Development and Technical Education Department.
WSC functions under the Odisha Skill Development Authority as part of the ‘Skilled in Odisha’ vision of the Odisha government. It offers one-year training to students across seven advanced courses under the Finishing School model, making them future-ready, concluded the source.
