Cuttack: Bhubaneswar and Cuttack teams (both A and B) registered comprehensive victories against their respective opponents on the third day of the Kalahandi Cup cricket tournament here, Sunday.
A five-wicket haul from Alok Shetty (5/24) and an unbeaten century from Debashis Mallick (145 n o) helped Bhubaneswar B thrash Deogarh by 172 runs at the Ravenshaw University ground. Batting first, Bhubaneswar B posted 304 runs for the loss of three wickets. In reply Deogarh were bundled out for paltry 132 runs in 32.2 overs. Nilakantha Naik (45) was the only batsman to offer some resistance.
Elsewhere at BOSE ground, Bhubaneswar A eased to a six-wicket victory against Phulbani. Opting to bat first Phulbani were all out for 124 runs in 34.2 overs against some incisive bowling by Manash Mohapatra (3/31) and Asis Pradhan (3/32). Bhubaneswar A overhaluled the target in just 20 overs losing four wickets in the process.
At Bidanasi ground, a brilliant century from Pradipta Das (138) and a fifer from Manish Rout (5/54) ensured Cuttack B script a whopping 213-run victory against Sonepur.
At Nimpur ground Cuttack A rode on a fiery spell from Abhishek Rout (6/37) to defeat Nuapada by seven wickets. Nuapada were all out for 106 runs in 25.2 overs. In reply Cuttack A took just 12.2 overs to win the match losing three wickets in the process.

At Ravenshaw ground: Balasore 139 all out in 37.5 overs (Sarbeshwar Mohanty 28, Bishal Das 26 n o; Ashish Nayak 3/17) beat Kendrapara 136 all out in 30.4 overs (Biswa Bhusan Bihari 49 n o; Birender Singh 6/23) by three runs.
At Sunshine ground: Sundargarh 225/8 (Subrajeet Sahu 47; Soyamsidh Singh 3/39) beat Nayagarh 150/9 (Abhinash Sahoo 61 n o; Walter Toppo 3/38) by 75 runs.
