BHUBANESWAR: An authoritative autobiography of Kamalakanta Mohapatra titled Janamaru Maran has been shortlisted by ‘Publishing Next’ for the ‘Printed Book of the year 2018′ award in Indian language category for 2018.
The book published by Dhauli Books, from Odisha, is the first ever publication from the state to be shortlisted for the award. This highly acclaimed book has drawn the attention of several celebrated critics of the country as it has become a bestseller soon after the book hit the stores.
The Publishing Next Industry Awards were instituted in 2014 to reward talented, entrepreneurial and untiring efforts of publishers – big, small and independent – which create books. Now in its fifth year, the Awards are established under the aegis of the neutral platform of the Publishing Next conference, and seek to recognize the innovation and leadership of publishing professionals and others in the book trade.
The jury for the Awards comprised distinguished persons from the publishing industry and allied fields, stated a Manu Dash in a release issued on behalf of Dhauli Books, Bhubaneswar.
