Biramaharajpur-Amarapali road connectivity snapped following incessant rain in Subarnapur district

Amarapali: Following incessant rain that lashed Subarnapur for the past couple of days, the Ghunginala bridge at Bhutiapali of Murshundi panchayat in this district has completely submerged in rainwater, thereby disconnecting Biramaharajpur-Amarapali road.

According to reports, the water bodies namely Ghunginala, Harihara Jora and Baigani Jora of Biramaharajpur area are in spate. Rainwater flows five feet above the Ghunginala bridge. This has completely battered civic life in the region, some local villagers expressed.

Similarly, another bridge at Tikrapada on Khandahata-Subalaya road has also submerged with rainwater flowing four feet above the bridge. Local villagers in the region are in panic, as expectedly the low pressure-induced rain would continue for another couple of days.
