Armaan Malik got an offer to sing with Big B while sitting for an exam

Mumbai: Singer Armaan Malik turned 24 today.

Born July 22, 1995 in Mumbai, Armaan belongs to a musical family. His grandfather Sardar Malik was a Hindi film industry singer. Coincidentally, he is also a nephew of Anu Malik.

Armaan started singing at the age of eight.  He completed his studies at Jamnabai Narsee School before studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

It is said that after hearing Armaan cry as a kid, his parents were sure that he will become singer only. At the age of four, he started getting training for Indian classical music. Armaan took part in the first edition of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ at the age of nine and was among the top seven singer in the competition.

Once Armaan was writing an examination when his teacher came running and told him that his mother was waiting outside.

It was discovered that the pair of Vishal-Shekhar wanted to record a song with him along with Amitabh Bachchan for the film ‘Bhootnath’ in 2008.

Armaan grew up working on his debut album. These songs impressed Salman Khan and he took one song, ‘Tumko To Aana Hi Tha’, for his film ‘Jai Ho’.

Armaan shot to fame from the song ‘Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon’ composed by his brother Amaan Malik. Today Armaan is one of the top singers of the Hindi film industry.
