Namrata had tried her hands in Hindi films apart from south films. She won ‘Femina Miss India’ title in the year 1993. Namrata then made her debut with ‘Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai’ (1998), along with Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna.
Namrata signed a Telugu film ‘Vamsi’ opposite Mahesh Babu in the lead role. ‘Vamsi’ was Mahesh Babu’s first film. Namrata met Mahesh on the sets of their movie. They began dating shortly after the shoot got over.
