Mumbai: Sunny Deol, one of the biggest action heroes of Hindi cinema celebrates his birthday 19 October.
Sunny’s father, the actor Dharmendra, was a superstar of the 70s and Sunny carried on the legacy. Sunny made his debut with the 1983 film Betaab and the movie was a super duper hit at the box office. The actor never looked back after the film’s huge success.
Sunny is known for making out-of-the-box films. Although some of her previous films were flop, including Ghayal Once Again (2016) Poster Boys (2017) and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (2018), Sunny has been active in the film industry for the last four decades and has earned in crores.
Sunny won the Lok Sabha election from Gurdaspur constituency against his rival Sunil Jakhar of Indian national Congress with a margin of 82,459 votes on a BJP ticket in 2019.
He also gave details of his assets before fighting elections. According to the nomination filed in the Election Commission, Sunny has total assets of Rs 87.18 crore.
According to reports, he has a debt of about Rs 51.79 crore. His total movable and immovable assets are Rs 60.46 crore and Rs 21 crore respectively. Talk about Sunny’s total income, his total income was Rs 63.82 lakh in the year 2017-18, Rs 96.29 lakh in 2016-17 and Rs 2.25 crore in 2015-16.
Sunny, who has won national film award for his movies ‘Ghayal’ and ‘Damini’, declared his total assets along with that of his spouse at Rs 87.18 crore.
His affidavit put the values of his moveable and immovable assets at Rs 60.46 crore and Rs 21 crore respectively.
Sunny who described himself professionally as an ‘actor, director, producer in film industry’, showed a sum of Rs 26 lakh as cash-in-hand with his wife Lynda Deol having Rs 16 lakh as cash-in-hand.
Among moveable assets, Sunny declared bank deposits and investments at Rs 9.36 lakh and Rs 1.43 crore respectively.
In his affidavit, he declared having vehicles worth Rs 1.69 crore, without disclosing their details.
He also disclosed gold jewellery worth Rs 1.56 crore belonging to his wife while affirming that he has no valuable articles in his personal possession.
Among immovable assets, the actor declared agriculture land, non-agricultural land and a flat at Oshiwara complex in Mumbai with a total worth of Rs 21 crore.
Sunny also declared a total liability of Rs 51.79 crore, including dues worth Rs 2.49 crore (with GST dues Rs 1.07 crore) to the government.
Sunny also owns several luxury cars which include Audi A8 and Range Rover in addition to Porsche. Whenever Sunny goes to a shooting or an event, he is often seen driving a Porsche.
