Bizman critical in brutal attack

Bhubaneswar: A businessman at Unit-1 market sustained severe injuries on his head after he was attacked by unidentified miscreant over a trivial issue here, Monday.

Reportedly, the miscreant also tried to slit his throat with a blade. The victim has been identified as Santosh Kumar Sahoo, founder and financer of an NGO ‘SAHAYA’. The NGO is reportedly engaged in the service of patients at hospitals.

According to sources, Sahoo used to lend money to vendors at the market. Monday morning, a debtor attacked him when he asked back his money, reports said.

He was rushed to Capital Hospital from where the doctors later referred him to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. His condition remained critical during the filing of this report.
