Hatadihi: BJD workers in Hatadihi block of Keonjhar district have accused Anandapur MLA Mayadhar Jena of not giving importance to them.
They pointed out that whenever they approach the MLA for any work, he expresses his helplessness. Taking advantage of his ‘helplessness and inefficiency’, some vested interests claiming to be close to a minister have been taking up various projects at their will, the BJD cadre alleged.
The party workers also alleged that there have been no visible works in Hatadihi block as a result of which common people are indignant.
Alleging large-scale irregularities and favouritism in all works, they said that some of their frontline party workers have been putting pressure on BDO Sushant Barik for approval of works.
“Due to inefficiency of the legislator, he is being controlled by some hand-picked party workers. The MLA has failed to discharge his duties and responsibilities properly,” the party workers stressed.
They also said that senior party workers feel let down, leaving the party base splitting. They warned of huge loss to the party in Hatadihi if the widening fissures among the grassroots cadre are not set right in time.
