Bhograi: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) which started its membership drive in digital format at the party’s extended executive body meeting here Sunday laid stress on enrolment of members keen to work with discipline and loyalty.
Bhograi MLA Ananata Das who presided over the meeting said Janata Dal and Biju Janata Dal have been working in Bhograi for the past 30 years winning the people’s confidence.
“In the days to come, our Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will carry forward the development agenda of Bhograi to serve its people. This will activate the party more vigorously,” he added.
Former MP Rabindra Jena said BJD was, is and will be with the people, but the cadres should be alert against anti-party activities.
Jaleswar MLA Aswini Patra, party observer Rajkishore Acharya and BJD leaders like Bhubanananda Das, Manjurani Behera, Deepak Kumar Das, Ganapati Giri, Hemanta Behera, BJD youth leaders and people’s representatives from 50 panchayats attended the meeting.
Das launched the membership drive by paying Rs 5 as fee.
