Champua: Since the day local leader Kusa Apat was assigned charge of the BJD’s organisational activities in Champua in Keonjhar district, he has been trying his best to keep the party flock together, a report said.
The ruling party has drawn up its strategy to broaden its base in Champua ahead of the coming elections and put its show of strength at a party meeting at Bimila playground in Kadagadia panchayat Sunday.
The meeting was said to be a successful one as it drew over 4,000 people from Kutaiposi, Kadagadia, Jamudalak and Sunaposi panchayats.
Frontline BJP leaders like Ashish Chakraborty, Bimbadhar Biswal, Surendra Jena, Jaga Singh, Hemant Barik, Shankarshan Pradhan, Pradip Kumar, Nesar Hayat, Sabita Mohant, Ranu Sethi and Kunja Palei highlighted various welfare schemes and programmes being executed by the state government.
They called upon the people to vote the BJD to power in the coming elections so as to carry on the developmental activities in Champua.
They said that BJD is not a party, but a movement. Like other parties, BJD does not believe in words, but in action, they asserted.
All the speakers urged the party workers to extend full support to Kusa Apat.
